Edward Castillo, MAI has been active in the commercial real estate industry since 2003.
From 2013 to Present, he has been a Principal and Commercial Real Estate Appraiser with CCP Group. He assists a wide range of clients including banking institutions, developers, investors, brokers, attorneys, insurance companies, government institutions, and others with the preparation of appraisal reports for their commercial real estate assets. He specializes in retail properties and leased fee properties including multi-year cash flow analysis and projections (Argus) and different scenarios: currently stabilized “as is”, to be developed/constructed “upon completion”, and/or prospective future leased up “upon stabilization” valuation scenarios. He is a licensed Certified General Appraiser in California and has the highest appraisal designation (MAI). Additionally, since 2005, Mr. Castillo has experience in the valuation analysis of various types of commercial real estate including retail, office, industrial, multi-family, golf courses, master-planned communities, self-storage facilities, mixed use properties, and others.
From 2005 to 2013, Mr. Castillo was an appraiser with Cushman & Wakefield and NPV Advisors. At Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Castillo was part of the National Retail Valuation Group where he appraised shopping center/single tenant portfolios, as well as individual shopping centers of all types from neighborhood to regional to lifestyle/entertainment. At NPV Advisors, he specialized in the quarterly and annual appraisal updates of large regional shopping centers for pension fund and institutional owners. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Castillo was part of a commercial real estate sales brokerage team at Marcus & Millichap's Newport Beach, CA office. This sales team focused in neighborhood, community, and power center sale transactions and shopping center portfolio transactions in California, Arizona, and Nevada.
